Pants Off!
Well, I don't know what to say. We sure have a mess on our hands.

Howdy folks! I'm finally back. As things change to colors of autumn, hopefully I can settle into a more normal routine. Much has changed and God has blessed in many ways, in spite of my own unworthiness.

The other day Philip and I were about to pray about something, and I asked Phil to pray. He said, “Why don't you pray, I don't feel worthy to pray”. To that I responded, “None of us are. We are worthy only because of what Jesus did, not because we are good.”

“Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.

For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are yet without sin.

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need”. (Heb. 4:14-16).

Thank God we are not saved on our merits, and thank God we do not access the throne of Heaven because we are “worthy”! “Isn't the love of Jesus something wonderful?!!!

Well, today is the first day of deer season for the hunt I drew. I asked God if I should go hunting and He seemed to say, “ are you kidding?” God said “take care of my business first”. The world puts all of these idols before God, and I believe God wants His day to be a major focus in our lives. If God wants me to have a deer, He could have one run into my yard, jump up into a tree and hang itself! We walk by faith and not by sight. If we walk by faith, we can never go the wrong way.

The kids that were staying here went back to mother. She moved in with her mother. Now the “butt brigade” can be thrilled that the kids are back in their abusive situation of no discipline. It is sad to see them in a situation where failure is all but guaranteed. The kids love it because in their own words, “We can do what ever we want”. Unfortunately they are already ruined for life. The first three years are the most important years in child development. Thanks to the Soviet Socialist Services, who run around sniffing out paddles like my dog sniffs out the piece of chicken I dropped under the table, the kids think you are “mean” if you spank them. God help them on judgment day, that's all I can say. They'll be accountable for all of children they have helped to ruin. The only hope those kids had was a structured situation with consistent loving discipline as it was needed.

Then we had a yard sale for a couple of weeks in three day intervals. Yep, that's right. Here in the United Soviet Socialist States of America, I can only have a yard sale on my own property for three days at a time. I'll tell you right now, there is nothing left. This country is gone and there is no hope on the horizon outside of the return of Jesus Christ. The American people lack the character to have a revolution, but that is exactly what it would take to set things straight. I'll just write in a third party candidates name when it comes time to vote I guess. We have no choice real choice as far as I can tell.

We had the yard sale to get funds for youth activities and to purchase the needed material to put in a church bathroom. I am thankful to all of the people who came out. Some people even gave donations! Wow, what a blessing and encouragement that was! Thank you!

We even had the apostles come out. Yep, the apostles! Two bearded guys dressed in long white gowns and sandals claiming to be apostles. When we started to talk to them about doctrine, they said they don't worry about doctrine, they just love as Jesus did.

Well, there you have it. Just a couple burn outs from the sixties trying to fill a spiritual void in their ignorance.

My opinion on the Wall Street bailout bill is that it should be the beginning of a bloodless revolution. A web site should be set up and all of the names of the crooks in congress who voted for the bailout bill should be on it. Then on election day you vote everyone of them out.

Someone mentioned bailing out the taxpayers. I didn't do the figuring myself, but an individual said each taxpayer would get about $200.000. Could you imagine what that would do for the economy if everyone could payoff all their debts, start new businesses, make investments, etc? Wow, I like that idea much better. We have all been victims of these loan sharks and it rubs me the wrong way big time when this bunch of bandits get off of the hook, and we still get stuck paying the ridiculous interest rates and fees! I know that God will sort it all out one day, and you get away with nothing in the end. In my opinion, the problem will not be fixed because God is after this bunch of greedy scum.

I didn't mention, we still have one of the children from the homeless kid situation. We have the little girl. We take no money from the state to cover the cost of her maintenance, and I understand that her mommy gets child support for her. We never see a penny. The other day someone mentioned that, and it started a little firestorm. I told all parties involved to drop it. I don't want the money. We'll just put another plate out. All we need is mommy getting involved. She is poison to those kids. As soon as she is in the picture, lawlessness sets in, and automatically they don't have to listen to anyone. I told them, “God will sort it out one day. Nobody gets away with anything.”

Well, I don't know what to say. We sure have a mess on our hands, but God is not taken by surprise. He is in control. I feel like Isaiah:

“Then said I, woe is me? For I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts.” (Isaiah 6:5).

When Isaiah saw the holiness of God, he was able to realize how wicked he was and how filthy the world was around him. That is one big problem with this “new” evangelism out there today. We deal with the consequences of these “stillborns” all of time. “Oh yes, I'm saved and I was baptized.” Ah where do you go to church? “I do not think you have to go to church to be a Christian. I have fellowship with Jesus right here in my home.”

These people do not realize how holy God is. Because they don't see God in His holiness, they never see themselves as sinners. Then they go to one of these Calvary Chapel type churches where “another jesus” is preached and make a false profession, or get baptized. The Jesus of the New Hope Chapel doesn't require repentance, therefore they fill the world with false assurance and false professions.

“Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe.

Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision.” (Phil. 3:1,2).

There is tendency to just go along and get along with people. I'm guilty of this much of the time. I'd rather wimp out than get into it with someone. If we could see things as God sees them, through the Holy Spirit, we would see that these “nice” ministers are sending people straight to Hell with their phony gospel. If they refuse to address the “new birth” and the sin issue, they are not preaching the true gospel, and they are adding more to the ranks of the false assured. That, my friend, is dangerous! We should be ready to “earnestly contend for the faith”, even though our cowardice tells us not to.

For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.” (Phil. 3:3).

Going back to my earlier comment. We shouldn't have our confidence in our flesh. We should be resting completely in Jesus. We should worship God in the Spirit. Now, what does it mean to worship God in the Spirit?

The other day, we were visiting a women who had been coming out to church, and all of sudden stopped. She was very honest with her reasons for not coming back to church, and that was refreshing. She said our song service didn't do anything for her, and it didn't make her feel worshipful, or something like that.

What is the ministry of the Holy Ghost? “Well, He makes me feel so bubbly as I sing Kum Ba Ya in our prayer praise singspiration service. Praise Jesus! Yes, those old hymns just don't cut it for me. They are worded like the KJV with all of those thees and thous.” This is what she was saying!

No, the Holy Spirit is not there to be a salve to sooth you in your carnality.

“Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:” ((John 16:7,8).

Just like going to a doctor. Sometimes the cure isn't painless, but it is necessary. Everyone that I know, who has ever been saved and is still serving the Lord today, had to have the strong medicine first, and it wasn't pleasant. It was like cod liver oil going down and then producing the fine wine of regeneration.

Of course this lady had a new bible perversion. My dear friend, you use the Charlie Brown, Micky Mouse version of the bible because you have never been saved. If you had the Holy Spirit in you, you would understand the KJV.

“Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth forever.” (I Peter 1:23).

And also we read:

“I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.” (Jn. 17:14).

Lost people cannot understand the KJV because the words contained therein are spiritual. You need the Holy Spirit to discern spiritual things.

The other issue that came up in our little visit was the pants on women issue. The daughter of the women we talked to went to camp with our church this year. This girl has made a profession of faith in the church and then another profession at camp. The rules for the camp included no pants to be worn by the girls. Now supposedly the girl cried for two hours when she found out she could wear pants because I guess all she had packed were pants. Yep, she was psychologically damaged for life, I'm sure. The pants issue is such a traumatizing thing to some women, that they leave the church over it. I personally do not believe it is worth going to Hell over, not to mention damning your kids to Hell.

What is wrong with a woman dressing in modest apparel? What is wrong with women dressing in a way that would depict the holiness of God. It's not even weird for a women to wear a dress. In fact, if you were to look at old photos from days gone by you would be hard pressed to find a woman with a pair of pants on. Again, I have a feeling if some of these women could see the holiness of God, dressing like a women would not even be an issue.

There is something wrong with this “spirit” and it is revealing to contrast this attitude with that of the apostle Paul.

“But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.

Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ.” (Phil. 3:7,8). CP
