Woe unto the rebellious children, saith the LORD, That take counsel, but not of me...
Lord, I don't know where you will lead me today. Chances are, I'll be preaching both morning and evening services at the Bully Creek Baptist Church. If you are reading this, thanks for joining me!
Not much news here. If I could describe life here at the church, I guess I would it would all depend on when you ask. Sometimes I want to say chaos. My wife and I had eight children of our own, and I always felt I would want twelve. Of course, Jeannette's health would not allow it. We consider it no small miracle that we had the eight! By the way, Jeannette's health seems stable. She is the most stubborn cuss I've ever met. She refuses to be ill, it seems, so she plows through the day, usually getting half a days work in before some see the light of day. It's simply amazing. Not many women are made like that today. Keep her in your prayers.
Yesterday was apricot day. With the economy on the brink of disaster, or so it seems, we aren't passing up many opportunities to put some food away. We don't know how long the extra “mouths” will be with us, and we are not getting welfare, so all I can say is, where are the free fruits? We can work, so we can put food away.
On top of all of the hustle and bustle already, we are expecting another missionary family to be coming in today. Wow, that will be interesting.
We are really praying about summer camp this year. We don't know where the gas money is going to come from. Unless something happens, we probably won't be able to make it. It is a shame, especially with all of the “new” kids here. I'm just praying and waiting on God.
We had a red moon the other night. They announced on the radio, and I thought, hmm, isn't there something in the Bible about that? Well, the moon didn't get blood red, but it was red. I thought, a third of the earth isn't burning yet either. That is yet to come. The moon was red because of the smoke in the air. It gets thicker every year, the smoke that is. This year it is so thick, you can't even see the mountains on most days. It's like man, if you're are not a smoker, you are now! Cough, cough, hack, hack.
Since I have to put everything in a positive spin for the morons today who think everything is sooo niiice, here it is. There is no God, but if there was, He wouldn't being fixing to judge this wicked world. This is godly nation of God fearing, sealed, sanctified, full of the Holy Ghost, born again, saints of God.
There is no such thing as a “tribulation period”, but if there was, we have plenty of time. After all, they have been saying we are in the end times for a long time now. Certainly there is nothing to indicate the Bible prophecies are being fulfilled. Bless thee child. Just say five hairy Marys, kiss the Pope's foot, and you'll be fine.
“Woe to the rebellious children, saith the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me: and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin:” (Isa. 30:1).
I don't mean to be mean,but frank, and frankly I think this is one “butt ugly” generation of people in this country today. All of the characteristics Paul used to describe this “last days”generation are realized today. People love themselves and they are covetous. They are boasters, prideful, and they are blasphemers. We are starting to see the attitude that will be prevalent in the followers of Antichrist.
“And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.
And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.
And the first angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,
And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their sores, and repented not of their deeds” (Rev. 16:8-11).
This is the spirit I've notice in people today. Many of them don't bother to go to church. They never thank God for His blessings, and they go around cussing and cursing God at every perceived hardship they encounter. People are rebellious today and walk around in the gall of bitterness. Most of them have been through at least one divorce. The wife refused to act like a wife and fell for the lie that the marriage is a 50/50 thing.
I can see this generation in the tribulation, cussing God as a third part of the earth is burning up around them. While they are baking in the sun, repentance doesn't even enter their minds. They cannot give God any glory, because they are so bitter and hate God so much. You see this attitude all around us today. They never look to Him, even in times of family crisis. Then we see them, when they get older, when we go to the nursing home to hold the church services. We see the grown men balling like babies. Some of them cry continually. We sing the hymns and you see people weeping. You wonder how much some of them actually take in. You give the message and have the prayer. You wonder if some are praying and asking Jesus to save them. You see the regret in the eyes of some, and you wonder if it is the regret of ignoring God all of their life. You wonder if they realize how the devil has tricked them and if they feel it is too late for them now to get saved.
I don't know if any of you have noticed the sun lately. It is absolutely fierce. Man, I'm going down the road. I have my sun glasses on, and my visor pulled, and I'm turning my head this way and that trying to see enough to drive down the road in the evening. Here is this huge ball of fire that is going to bake these wicked people in the tribulation and yet they go about cussing and partying. It's like my mother always says, “mm, mmm, nobody home upstairs”.
Nobody is going to tell them different. They are froward. They don't listen to anybody. They will live in filth and that's the way it is. But one day very soon the party is going to be over. “Woe to the rebellious children”.
I can see it in the young people that are staying here. They went with mommy the other day for a couple of days. Then she brought them back. I guess she told the kids not to worry. When she comes to get them again, they'll be allowed to do what ever they want. You can see where this is leading to . They are going to do what ever they want and that's it. Nobody will be able to stop you then. These kids are already so lawless, and it runs so deep, it will take a miracle, and a lot of love, prayer, and discipline to get through to them.
But what about the kids that never get a shot at it? They don't know what it's like to be in a family with a mom and dad. They just grow up destroying everything they get there hands on. They kill everything that's alive. They think everyone owes them something. Rather than work for something, they steal it. This is all some kids know.
“That take counsel, but not of me;”
This people will listen to anyone but God. When they get bad advise, then, somehow as if under a spell, they follow that. They'll go to the cults, or they'll get advice from their buddy at the bar. They'll get advice from a friend, or family member. They'll listen to the talk show host and idolize them. As soon a their Rock and Roll gods say it, they'll do it. They have no problem following the lead of the Rap singers and grabbing a ho. Just don't talk to me about God. Quit preaching bro!
When their butts are roasting like a piece of chicken on the grill, you'd think they would wish they had someone preaching to them, but that is not what the Bible indicates. They are so hardened against God they still won't give God glory, even in the midst of tribulation.
It is my opinion that there is no turning back now. We are on fast track for judgment. I know you will disagree, and you have an explanation why things will go on for ever, and you know so much more than the man of God, and of course, even God Himself, but save it. You can babble it over and over again to yourself while you are burning in the flames and you'll have all eternity to do it. Things are changing and man isn't going to fix it this time. God will reveal Himself as the the great Potentate He is, and only God has the answer and the power to save us.
“And that cover with a covering, but not by my spirit,”
They cover themselves today, or at least they think they are covering themselves. “We'll be alright. I'll just call a meeting of the G8 nations and we'll discuss how the global community can fix the global warming situation. Now that Russia holds the presidency for the first time, we can be sure to find answers from our communist “friends”. Aren't we secure! We'll fix it. We can pass another UN resolution. There take that! Another UN resolution right at you buddy! That'll fix you. If something fails (like the banks/IndyMac) we'll throw more money at it. Print it off and send the US taxpayers the bill. What security we have. Who needs God. One big happy family we are without God.” They think they are covered, but not with the spirit of God, so they are not covered at all.
I heard Michael Savage the other day blaming the liberals for every evil known to man kind. According to Mr. Savage, the liberals are in every branch of government and almost every institution. Anyone who knows the Bible realizes that it is something more than just a political ideology. Our battle is spiritual, and the only way to fight back is with spiritual warfare. Nobody will ever beat Satan in the flesh. Think about it. All of the problems we face today are a result of our rejection of the Bible as God's word and our authority and instruction book for governance and living.
“And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins:
Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:” (Eph. 2:1,2).
Today, in their pride, people think they are living in the spirit of God, this sort of , “we are all God's children” lie. Many have a “form of godliness” and yet reject the God of the Bible. The truth is, they are blind to the things of God and are walking in the spirit of disobedience. They are being led right into the system of Antichrist and don't even know what's happening. The things that are happening in the country today, as sinister as they are, can only be accomplished under the leadership of Satan, in my opinion.
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” (Eph. 6:12)
We are walking right into Satan's trap as a nation and we are starting to feel the teeth. This global scheme for world unity will be met with God's curse at every turn.
“Now go write it before them in a table, and note it in a book, that it may be for the time to come for ever and ever:
That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the LORD: which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits:
Get you out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us.” (Isa. 30: 8-11).
“Oh, you're cramping my style, I want to be free. I don't want some little pinhead preacher preaching at me. If the little pinhead does preach, tell me I'm OK and there is no judgment. Tell me I can change wives like I change my socks, and it will be alright. Tell me I can carouse and live my life the way I want to and when I meet “the man upstairs” we'll sit down and have a beer together. Tell me that Jesus is just a long haired homo, and when Larry and I get to heaven we'll be right at home. Tell me I can disobey my parents, spit all over them, and have no consequences. Tell me I can run from my responsibility and just party, party, party. You knows what I likes! Tell me I can charge excessive usury and rip people off and I'll get away with it. Tell me, tell me, tell me, O preacher man!
I'll tell you what Isaiah had to tell the children of Israel, and that is, God's after you! He always finds His man, and you get away with nothing, period!
“Wherefore thus saith the Holy One of Israel, Because ye despise this word, and trust in oppression and perverseness, and stay thereon:
Therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a breach ready to fall, swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking cometh suddenly at an instant.
And he shall break it as the breaking of the potters' vessel that is broken in pieces; he shall not spare: so that there shall not be found in the bursting of it a sherd to take fire from the hearth, or to take water withal out of the pit.” (Isa 30:12-14).
This judgment is coming to a place near you. When the American people finally realize what has been done to them it will be too late. When the fall of the New World Order comes it will be sudden and fatal. The “potter's vessel is shattered and everyone is standing around scratching their heads.
No way out but up. Say that with me. No way out but up! Say it again. No way out but up! Now get your Bibles out when you get home and do not put it down until you know you are saved. If you're having trouble, pray for God to open your heart and your eyes. The day of the Lord is real, my friend. Things are shaping up just as the Bible said they would.
I was just talking to my brother in Indiana. He said he finally had to put air conditioning in. He didn't need it before. God is heating things up just like He said He would. Are you ready? CP
