So it's hopeless. Who do I vote for when there is no choice? Where do you go when the right way is no longer an option? Which way do you turn when the only road is closed?
It is good to be with you all again. Thank you for spending a little time with this poor old country preacher.
Things have been fairly quiet this past week. The homeless children ,I had mentioned previously, are doing well. The food has miraculously been coming in and God is in control. I feel that if Jesus loves the little children, then we have to do our best to see that the children become acquainted with the Lord who loves them so much. Would we ever turn someone away that needs help? To me it is a no brainer. We are here to minister to people, and give to those who are in need. We give it away and get nothing in return. We give up our convenience, and in some cases our privacy and home, because the Bible says we are to be “given to hospitality”. We give and expect nothing in return. We only hope to see Jesus in the lives of these young people someday.
We are not like the banks, finance companies, and many individuals today who are out to profit from the loss of others.
Some low-life stops by the church yard sale. We'll just name him “Lowlife” for the sake of the illustration.
The church is making the money to give away and serve the community when they can. “Lowlife” has not consideration for that. It's all about Lowlife.
Church worker: “How are you sir?” Lowlife: “oink oink, grunt, grunt, oink, oink, ah, how much is that item over there?” Church worker: “That item is $5.” Lowlife: (Lowlife thinking; why, I could get $10 on e-bay.) “Ah, oink, oink, sniff, sniff, can I jew you down, oh, I mean, could I give you $3 for it?” Church worker: “Well, I don't know.” (church worker thinking; What will we have to feed the homeless children. How can we support our missionaries? Where will the money come from to keep the lights on. How will we be able to give to the next distressed person who has need of a place to lay his head at for a night? Where will the funding come to pay those who feed us the word that changes our live for the better, and teach us the way of sanity, peace , and happiness? Where will we get money for repairs) “What about $4?” Lowlife: “Nope, $3 and that's my final offer. Take it or leave it!”
Now “Lowlife” does this because he is low-life, and you cannot expect a low-life to think about anyone but himself. All a low-life can think about is how to maximize his profit and get a good deal for himself. The evil banking institutions are the same. These are the biggest crooks in our society today. Christians give money away. Banks steal as much as they can from those who have the least. The hog- pens are full of these swine today. They are all over, and there is an explanation. You see, the further a nation slides away from God into depravity, the more they become like cavemen and live like animals.
You can see the moral breakdown of this nation all around us.
The other afternoon I decided to take my mother down to the park and enjoy a little fishing and quiet time. Other than having a half naked couple trying to make-out next to us, someone playing loud music from their car, and people using the “f” word, with no consideration for me or my seventy-seven year old mother, it was very relaxing.
No, the people's thoughts are not on things of God today, and it is getting worse all of the time. That is why we are falling.Yes, this nation, the future of your children, your future, and the nations future are all jeopardized by your hedonism. God has given us His word but you want nothing to do with it.
“Whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed: but he that feareth the commandment shall be rewarded.” (Prov. 13:13).
The government, the citizens, and even professing Christians do not prioritize things of God. Instead of supporting the church and helping it anyway possible, they try to starve it. They won't even give old “George”. Instead of the the Bible believing fundamental church being the national treasure it is, they despise it and minimize it. Things sure have changed! The church is the strength of the nation, but in the eye of the internationalist, it is in the way; contradictory to world government of Antichrist. . The “doctrine” of the New World Order is demoralize and control, destroy culture and replace it with sub-culture, re-write history and erase national borders as well as moral borders. They want distinctions broken down racially, culturally, and sexually. Religion is a homogenized mess of unregenerate, nonjudgmental (except when it comes to judging fundamental Bible believers), “clouds without water”, socialists, singing Kum-ba-ya and chanting “unity”. The only absolutes they know is that there are no absolutes, except that they absolutely accept blind abandonment of scriptural truth, absolutely.
It sure is good to be a Christian today, although I feel like I swallowed the “little book” John had written of in the book of Revelation. No, I don't have a stomach ache, but I do know the bitter judgment this nation is headed for.
“And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.
And he said unto me Thou must prophesy again before many peoples and nations, and tongues, and kings.” (Rev.10:10,11).
As a Christian, you see the things that others seem oblivious to. That is the bitterness of it. It is like watching an automobile accident and being helpless to stop it. You are crying, no, no, look out(!), but they can't hear you. It's too late. You see how the calamity could have been avoided, but they can't. You know the right turn to make, but they can't see it, so they collide and meet their fate. You know the truth, but no one cares.
So it's hopeless. Who do I vote for when there is no choice? Where do you go when the right way is no longer an option? Which way do you turn when the only road is closed?
You get these dumb surveys now and then, and I just pitch them anymore. They think everyone is an ignoramus evidently.
“Should congress close the borders? How about the war on drugs? Should we give Bush cocaine? Should he sniff glue instead? Is he already doing both? Should we keep the Bush tax cuts? What about the balanced budget amendment? Do you support that? What about abortion? Do you support tearing babies out of the womb and cutting them into little pieces? I used to pull the legs off of flies when I was a kid. What about special interest groups? Do you love them? What can we do to restore Republisinners to congress and assure we have a good Republisinner elected to the White House? You know the country will go to hell in a handbag if those naughty Dems get in. Do you like-em naughty or nice? Osama will have your butt blowed off and put into a wringer if you vote for them there Democrackers. Now please sign your survey and don't forget to include a pledge so you can be sure to get more of what we have been doing to y, I mean, for you.
PS. It is imperative that you give your most generous gift immediately. We must keep the Democrackers out and keep us Republisinners in! Right at this very moment the crackers are organizing their massive war chest to defeat me. After all I have done for you, Imagine that! Please, send money now! I'm begging you. I'm looking out for you, trust me. Don't you trust me? I promise I'll help bring the congress approval rating to a whopping 13% if you get me in!
Well, you know how that goes. Unfortunately I cannot say the words that I want to use to describe the scoundrels without losing my religion, and I cannot offer any hope outside of national revival. The best thing you can do as a concerned American, is to support Bible preaching churches. I mean the ones that are preaching the word, and are not afraid to address the sins of the day. Don't waste your money on cults or panty waste , wishy washy, new evangelicals. They are all useless, a waste of space and of God's air. If you are a person of means, consider supporting this ministry and ones like it. If we are to have hope, it will come from God and through His word, and the preaching thereof.
“Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him.
Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.” (Jas 5:19,20).
Preaching the word slows sin down and has a preserving, cleansing effect on our society. It is nice to support good causes like the Red Cross and others, but if we don't promote godliness we are not going to have a country left.
“Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” (Matt. 5:13-16).
It is like one preacher used to say, “ye are the salt of the earth, rub it in!”
If we think about Ezekiel's commission, it probably wouldn't seem very appealing to many ministers today.
“For thou art not sent to a people of a strange speech and of an hard language, but to the house of Israel;...
But the house of Israel will not hearken unto thee; for they will not hearken unto me: for all the house of Israel are impudent and hardhearted.” (Ezek. 3:5,7).
“Now let me see if I got this straight Lord. You want me to go to a nation that will not listen, you already know they will not listen, and I will never have my mega church? (!)”
Now if success in God's business was based on numbers, many throughout history would have been in a lot of trouble when reward time came in Heaven. We are to be faithful in preaching, and then trust God for the results. If there aren't any noticeable results, and we are sure we are where God put us, then stay put, preach the word, and be faithful, and God's purpose will be fulfilled through us. You won't be lacking rewards because you don't have a building full of warm bodies. If fact, you'll probably have more rewards than the one who had the warm bodies.
Ezekiel had to eat his bitter roll (book) just as we have to fulfill our bitter role.
“And thou shalt speak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear: for they are most rebellious.
But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee; Be not thou rebellious like that rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eat that I give thee.
And when I looked, behold, an hand was sent unto me; and, lo a roll of a book was therein;
And he spread it before me; and it was written within and without: and there was written therein lamentation, and mourning, and woe.” (Ezek. 2:7-10).
Yes, it is a bitter roll, but it sure is sweet at the same time when you think of the precious Lord! Just think about Heaven and all of the promises we have! We have a bright future and to that there is no doubt. When we think about home, it fuels us and gives us strength for the seemingly thankless ministries that we serve. It also makes it easier to obey God's word and preach!
Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.” (Ezek 3:17). CP
